Born in 1975, so as of writing I’m 44 but you can work it out as I’ll probably not update this page much 🙂
Ran my first Half Marathon (Nottingham Robin Hood Half) in 2010 for Bowel Cancer UK in memory of my Dad. Didn’t go too well. Did my second one (Leicester Half) 4 weeks later which went better.
Decided against running and spent the next 7 years riding bikes. Mainly doing Audaxes (couple of Super Randoneurs (SR), Radonneur Round the Year (RRTY) and Audax Altitude Awards (AAA) medals achieved, plus a London-Edinburgh-London), plus some longer off road rides.
In 2017 I got disillusioned with riding so much and started doing some running to mix up the cycling. 2018 saw a lot more running, and 2019 saw pretty much no cycling so I reclassed myself as a runner
Mainly interested in longer runs and being out in nature. So happiest with moorlands and mud. Also tend to run better when it’s cooler, bring on the light drizzle!
